Domain names are core business assets, and we help you build a protective registration strategy, recover infringing domains through UDRP and other proceedings, and acquire or sell the names your brand needs.

Your domain names sit at the center of how customers find you, which makes them assets worth managing deliberately. We help you build and protect a domain portfolio, recover names taken by cybersquatters, and acquire the domains your brand needs. Our engineering background means we understand the DNS and registrar mechanics behind the legal strategy.

Planning Your Portfolio

A smart domain strategy lines up with how you protect your brand overall. We advise on defensive registrations across key extensions and common misspellings, help you trim names you no longer need, and set up monitoring that flags domains registered to trade on your brand. The point is to cover your real exposure without paying to hoard hundreds of domains you will never use.

Recovering Domains by UDRP

The Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy is the fastest route to reclaim a domain a cybersquatter registered in bad faith. We file UDRP complaints that prove the required elements and pursue transfer of the name to you. We also defend you against UDRP complaints brought to grab a domain you have every right to hold, where the policy is being misused.

Other Dispute Routes

UDRP is not always the right tool. Depending on the facts, we pursue domain disputes through ACPA litigation in federal court, the faster Uniform Rapid Suspension system, or the dispute mechanisms that apply to country-code domains. We pick the forum that fits your goal, whether that is the quickest takedown, the strongest remedy, or recovery of a specific valuable name.

Buying and Selling Names

Sometimes the domain you want is already taken by someone with a legitimate claim to it, and the answer is a deal rather than a dispute. We negotiate domain acquisitions discreetly so you do not drive the price up, and we handle sales when you are ready to monetize names in your portfolio. Either way, we paper the transfer so ownership lands cleanly.

Frequently asked questions

The Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy is an administrative process for recovering a domain name that was registered in bad faith and is identical or confusingly similar to your trademark. It runs through approved providers rather than the courts. It is the standard tool for dealing with cybersquatters who grab a domain tied to your brand.

Most UDRP cases conclude within about 60 to 90 days from filing. That is much faster than litigation, which is a big part of why it is the go-to option for straightforward cybersquatting. The tradeoff is that the only remedy is transfer or cancellation of the domain.

You have to prove all three elements: the domain is identical or confusingly similar to your mark, the registrant has no rights or legitimate interest in it, and the domain was both registered and used in bad faith. Missing any one of the three sinks the case. The bad-faith element is usually where these cases are won or lost.

The Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act lets you recover money damages, which UDRP does not, and it allows in rem actions against the domain itself when you cannot locate or serve the registrant. It is also a better fit for borderline cases that a UDRP panel might not resolve in your favor. The tradeoff is that litigation costs more and takes longer.

Defensive registrations can stop others from taking domains close to your brand, such as common misspellings or key alternate extensions. You cannot register everything, so the smart move is to prioritize the variations most likely to be abused and register those within your budget. We help you decide which ones are worth holding.

Yes. The hundreds of newer generic top-level domains create both new ways for others to misuse your brand and new opportunities to register names that fit it. You do not need to chase every extension, but you should have a plan for the ones that matter to your industry. We help you sort the real risks from the noise.
