Life at MC Law
Small firm, serious work, real ownership.
MC Law is early in its story, and that's the point. We're building a focused IP and technology practice where the people doing the work also shape how the firm runs — the tools we use, the clients we take, and the standards we hold.
If you care about doing excellent work for inventive companies and want to grow with a firm rather than disappear into one, read on.
Lateral hires
We're a young, technically minded firm building something deliberately different: IP and technology counsel that reads code as fluently as it reads case law. If you're an attorney who wants ownership of your matters, direct client relationships, and room to shape how a practice is built, we'd like to talk.
We hire selectively and value range — prosecution and litigation experience, a science or engineering background, and the judgment to counsel founders through real decisions.
Get in touchLaw students & new graduates
We offer summer and post-graduate opportunities for law students who are serious about intellectual property and technology. You'll work directly on live matters — trademark and copyright prosecution, IP litigation support, and technology transactions — alongside attorneys, not three layers removed from them.
A technical undergraduate degree is a plus but not a requirement; curiosity about how technology actually works is.
Get in touchScientists & engineers
Some of the most valuable people in IP law never sat for the bar. If you have a background in software, data, or engineering and an interest in patents, trademarks, and the law that protects invention, there's a place for you here as a technical specialist or patent agent.
We'll support the right candidates pursuing the USPTO registration exam and, where it fits, law school.
