How our flat fees work
One price, published before you order.
Every flat-fee service at MC Law has one published price, set by the hours the work ordinarily takes at $325 an hour, rounded to the nearest $25. The service page states what the price covers, the scope it is fixed at, the turnaround, and the revision rounds included. That same number goes in your engagement letter, and if the work runs long, that cost is ours.
For example, work that ordinarily takes four hours costs $1,300. Each service page shows that arithmetic, so you can see what you are paying for.
Stated up front, on every service.
- The deliverable named on the service page, drafted by an MC Law attorney
- The revision rounds stated on the page
- Delivery to your account within the stated turnaround
Third-party costs are never inside a flat fee. Court and agency filing fees, court reporter and transcript charges, expert fees, search vendor charges, process server fees, and travel are passed through at cost and never marked up.
Each fee is fixed at a stated scope, such as a page count or a number of parties. If your matter falls outside it, we tell you before starting and quote the difference in writing. We do not bill past a flat fee without agreeing it first.

Frequently asked questions
It depends on the work, and the price of each flat-fee service is published on its own page. Fees are the hours the work ordinarily takes at $325 an hour, rounded to the nearest $25, and the table on this page shows the starting fee in each practice area.
With a flat fee you know the price before the work starts, and the risk of the work running long sits with the firm. With an hourly rate you pay for the time the work actually takes. Flat fees fit defined work like contracts and filings. Hourly or phased budgets fit open-ended work like a lawsuit through trial.
Not for the scope stated on the page. If your matter turns out to fall outside that scope, we tell you before starting and quote the difference in writing, and you decide whether to go ahead.
You can add rounds when you order or later. Each service page states the price of an extra round. A round is one consolidated set of your comments and our revised draft back to you.
No. Contacting us creates no obligation, and we will tell you whether a flat fee fits or whether the matter needs a written estimate instead.
Yes. Documents usually needed together are sold as packages at less than ordering each separately, because one intake and one set of facts serve them all. The saving is stated on each package page.
